designing with papertrey

It's day 2 of the Papertrey Ink 5th Anniversary countdown! I have lots to share today!

One dream that I had always had as I was going through school for graphic design, working at a craft/fabric store, selling rubber stamps through direct sales, was to some day have something that was my very own designs in the crafting world.

I remember the first email to think about designing stamp sets for Papertrey Ink, I remember thinking that even though it was right in front of me - could it even be possible? I sat down and designed a handful of sets and emailed them off to Nichole and in August of 2008 my very first set, Rustic Branches, debuted. 60+ sets later, 18 patterned paper collections, and too many die cuts to count that dream is very much reality. And I love it.

I love thinking about what that next set will be, watching trends, and collecting inspiration. But the very best part of all of it? Getting to see the projects that YOU all make with my sets and products. That is what it is all about. I am constantly amazed at the things that all of you create and it inspires me to design even more.

I can't wait to share what I have in store for all of you this year!

Today all of the Papertrey Ink stamp designers put together a collection of graphics for you. Here is my contribution to the freebie sheet...

Little Bitty Bird is a favorite of mine and this little graphic turned out so sweet. Below is the link to download the whole freebie sheet pdf file.

Over at Nichole's blog, there is more information on the contest for today which includes creating a project that includes one of the freebie graphics included on the sheet. The prize? A collection of all of the Papertrey Ink stamp designers favorite sets. I will get to my choice in a bit, but first a project that i created with my little graphic...

You can punch my little graphic out with a 1 3/4" square punch and the design will have a full bleed (the polka dot pattern will go right to the edge of that size square.) Lots of patterned paper bits and stitching pull this card design together.

Tagits8webview

I love the whole Tag-its series and every single one was so much fun to put together images and sentiments with the frame for each month. My very top favorite is Tag-its #8. I LOVE the little snowflake frame and how it turned out. The snowman is just the cutest and you all know that I really love snowflakes - both to design and to stamp with!

Here are some of the projects that I stamped with Tag-its #8...
