more scrambled eggs and framed out #1
February 13, 2012
Welcome to day 9 of the Papertrey Ink 5th Anniversary countdown! Today I have a simple and sweet Easter card that used my new Scrambled Eggs and Framed Out #1 sets.
All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on February 15, 10PM EST, at Papertrey Ink.
One of the images that you probably got a peek at yesterday during the group post, but that I hadn't shared here yet, are the new egg pattern images that are included in Scrambled Eggs. These are a little different that the eggs in the Egg Hunt set. I designed the eggs in the Scrambled Eggs set to have a full bleed (no white space on the edge) where the ones in the Egg Hunt set fit within the egg die cut. You, of course, can use the egg designs with our with out the dies.
For the sentiment, I used only the smaller frame image stamped in Spring Moss from Framed Out #1 and cut the larger frame from the bitty polka dot paper in the Aqua Mist pattern pack. The chick is from Tags for Spring and is stamped in Summer Sunrise.
Originally, I had stamped a background with the egg designs to add as a mat, but when laying the card out I changed my mind. Sometimes it's better to just keep it simple and let the beautiful colors of Papertrey cardstock shine.
I think Aqua Mist has moved up my list as a Papertrey color favorite. It's finding its way into so many of my projects lately!
Today Nichole and Maile will be sharing about the new Beautiful Butterflies and Lovely Leaves sets. Lisa, Maile, Melissa, Tiffany, and Lizzie all have more to share with their new sets to share on their blogs today too.
One more day of sneak peeks tomorrow - everyone is going to be moving and shaking! See you then!
