more framed out #1 and scrambled eggs

Welcome to day 7 of the Papertrey Ink 5th Anniversary countdown! Today I thought I would share a little bit more about the my new Framed Out #1 set and then I have a few more projects to share that I created with Scrambled Eggs too.

All of the new stamps sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on February 15th, 10PM EST, at Papertrey Ink.

Here is the Framed Out #1 die. It cuts out the larger size frame - both outside and inside - and then instead of having a center that you might just toss because it is an odd shape, I designed it so that it could be usable and added a second, smaller frame image that fits into the middle cut out shape. You can see above that I cut out the die once with white cardstock and then once with kraft cardstock.

I stamped the larger size frame image in True Black ink onto the larger frame die cut from kraft, and then the smaller frame image in Classic Kraft ink onto the center cut out from white cardstock. The sentiment is one included in the set that I stamped into the smaller frame with True Black ink. 

I attached the larger frame to this Tag Sale die cut from True Black paper with some 3D foam squares and then attached the smaller frame piece directly to the tag right through the opening in the bigger frame so that everything would line up.

Here is the finished card. The card base is stamped with the new Background Basics: Medallion. This was the first card that I tested out the Classic Kraft ink on and can I just say I am in LOVE. It stamps beautifully on the kraft cardstock.

I am really liking this color combination of kraft, black, and white. Perfect for a card that leans towards a masculine theme and feel.

For this card, I turned the colors up a notch! I pulled out the Tiny Treats: Birthday set and used the images stamped in the larger frame. I stamped the smaller frame into the Spring Moss frame and then stamped the birthday sentiment as well. I really like how that smaller frame really popped the sentiment on the card.

With all of the tiny images in the whole Tiny Treat collections, this card could be made over so many different ways!

Next is a card with the chick from Scrambled Eggs. I colored the chick and egg with Copics and then glittered up the egg. The chick is sitting on top of the larger stamped frame image from Framed Out #1 - another great use for a frame is using it as a base or landing area for a main focal image on your project.

This little chick is really one of my favorite images I have illustrated - simple, sweet, and so darn cute!

And finally, another card that uses the basket image from the Scrambled Eggs set. This image fits into the egg die as well, but I designed another die to use with the basket that has a cut out area inside the basket handle area. I stamped the flowers onto the white cardstock base, colored them with Copic markers, and then attached the basket with 3D foam squares. The flowers look like they are perectly tucked into the basket.

A little glitter on the bow and this basket full of love is ready to deliver.
