Welcome to day 5 of the Papertrey Ink 5th Anniversary countdown! Today is the announcement of Papertrey Ink's pinterest boards. I am pretty excited about this one myself - I love having the design team projects collected, categorized and displayed in this way.
I spend a lot of time on Pinterest. It is the best place to collect ideas and inspiration and not just for paper crafting projects! I love how it links back to the original source, especially when there is more on the original site to explore. For Christmas I received a ring that I had pinned to my boards, "easiest Christmas gift shopping ever!" said my sister-in-law :) You can find my personal Pinterest boards here.
All of the Papertrey Ink design team is sharing a pin from their boards that we then used as inspiration to create a project. I have loved doing projects this way because it makes be step out of my box to try new layouts, new colors, and stamp sets I haven't used in a while.
I chose this print to use as my inspiration for a card...
And here is my resulting project...
I really ended up pulling the concept of the heart in the circle as the "o" in you, but I also stamped on white cardstock only and kept the layout clean and the main image centered reflected from the look and feel of the inspiration piece.
I love how it turned out and I also love that looking back at the inspiration piece, I have more ideas for more and different projects.
You will want to go to Nichole's blog to link up to all of the design team members projects that they are sharing today, plus there is another contest as well that you will want the details on. There will be 5 winners who will get to choose 5 stamp sets each as their prize!
Tomorrow is day 6 of the countdown which means that sneak peek projects with the new sets and products debuting this month will begin! See you then!
