sweet spring celebrations

Welcome to day 8 of the Papertrey Ink 5th anniversary countdown. Today is a group post sharing the new sets Scrambled Eggs and Sweet Spring. Today is also the scavenger hunt and the photo above is the one to look at to see how many egg icons are hidden here. You can click the photo to see it larger.

All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available on February 15th, 10PM EST, at Papertrey Ink.

It's time to get my Easter tags done and I had to use my new Scrambled Eggs set and paired it with the frame images from Lisa's new Sweet Spring set. I took my color combination from the new patterned paper packs and Iove the bright and springy look of Aqua Mist and Raspberry Fizz together. To make the tag bases, I used the Half & Half dies die cut from the Aqua Mist patterned papers.

I made up some bunnies from kraft cardstock that I colored with Copic markers and then added a white pom-pom tail. I also colored the chicks with Copic markers and then added the egg shell that I cut from the larger polka dot Raspberry Fizz patterned paper. Aren't they the cutest?

I attached the Sweet Spring frame to the tag base and then attached either a chick or bunny to each one.

I took one of the tags and used it along with the "happy easter" sentiment from Scrambled Eggs to create a coordinating card.

The new Background Basics: Medallion was stamped in Fresh Snow ink on the bottom half of the kraft card base.

To add the names on the tags, I did use an alphabet set that I had on hand. The year date is from the Library Ledger Years Additions set. I added a new member to my tag list - I have a new nephew, Porter, that was born on January 30!
