introducing framed out #3 & background basics: postmarks

Welcome to day one of the Papertrey Ink April release countdown! I have 2 sets debuting this month: Background Basics: Postmarks and Framed Out #3.

Background Basics: Postmarks is a stamp set based off of the patterned paper collection that I released last year. All of the text and postage imagery are from actual postcards and mail that belonged to my Great Grandma Martha. It was her correspondence with family and friends over in Norway. I fell in love with the patterned paper collection and am so excited to bring it to you in an actual stamp format. Now you can add a bit of vintage here there and everywhere in any color you want!

Framed Out #3 is the 3rd in the Framed Out series. The set has frame image and there is a coordinating die cut that cuts out the frame and the center of the frame image. There is a smaller frame image that coordinates with the smaller cut out piece. This month has a rectangular shape that reminds me a bit of a bookplate.

All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on April 15th, 10PM EST, at Papertrey Ink.

This card has a definite vintage/scrapbooky feel to it. I stamped the background in Fine Linen ink on white cardstock and then inked the edges using an ink blending tool (Ranger) also in Fine Linen ink.

I didn't do any die cutting with the Framed Out set here. I stamped the larger frame in Ripe Avocado ink (new formula - I LOVE it!), the smaller frame in Smokey Shadow, and the sentiment in True Black ink. The little flower type image stamped in Classic Kraft is also from the Framed Out #3 set.

I used some washi tapes on the left side of my card - definitely adding to the scrapbook feel. I finally got my tapes in a box out on my desk. When I see a product in front of me, it up the chances that I will actually use it.

There will be lots more to see on this first day of the countdown: Nichole and Betsy will be sharing projects with the new Tweet Talk (Little Bitty Bird's cousins!) and Think Big Favorites #15 sets. Melissa, Maile, Dawn, and Lexi will all have peeks with their new stamp sets on their blogs too.

See you again tomorrow for more! Thanks so much for stopping by today.
