I love it when I learn a new technique that I know I will turn back to again and again. I took an online class recently with Tim Holtz and learned so many techniques that I know will use again. It was fun to take one of the techniques I learned and actually use it this card project.

The postmarks image that is on the multi color squares was stamped with a white Distress Stain (Ranger.) The look reminds me of a bleach effect - so cool and perfect to use with images like the Background Basics: Postmarks set.

The multi colored background was created by using an ink blending tool to apply color to white cardstock. I used a combination of Ocean Tides, Ripe Avocado, and Dark Chocolate inks. I, of course, did this before I stamped the postmark image over the top of it.

I kept the frame and sentiment simple. Classic Kraft ink on kraft cardstock for the larger frame and Classic Kraft ink on white cardstock for the smaller. I did add a bit of postmark images to tie the sentiment piece to the rest of the card design.

Today Nichole & Maile are sharing more about the new Trendy Treetops set and my Framed Out #3 set.  MelissaMaileDawn, and Lexi will all have peeks with their new stamp sets on their blogs too.

See you back tomorrow for more!
