quick card sets

I really love taking time to create detailed cards, but sometimes time is short for something I need to get done. I needed to put together a bundle of thank you cards for a friend and looking at the quantity I wanted to give her and the time I could spend on the project, I needed to simplify and streamline as much as possible. I turned to one of my Tag-its sets and some premade notecard and in just a few hours I assembled 48 cards and envelopes with minimal supplies to put together a beautiful set of cards for her to use.

When I am mass producing I like to stamp out as many images as I can on a sheet of cardstock. For the 48 finished cards, I used 3 sheets of white cardstock to stamp out the frame image from Tag-its #2 in Spring Moss and Ocean Tides ink.

Next I added in the sentiment "thank you very much" in Smokey Shadow ink. You could do a variety of sentiments and create cards for a number of occasions - or do a variety of thank you sentiments in different styles - but I kept it simple and just did this one sentiment for all of the cards.

I stamped the little berry branch spring in each frame: Ocean Tides in the Spring Moss frames and Spring Moss in the Ocean Tides frames.

I really love having all of these mutiple images stamped out on the cardstock - one thing I love about stamping!

A 1 3/4" circle punch punches these frames out easily. The Tag-its #2 frame is designed with a full bleed, so the polka dot design goes all the way to the edge of the punched circle.

I could have done this project with a Fillable Frame or Framed Out set, but it adds time to run a die through your die cut machine 48 times - punching speeds the process up so much. What you ultimately add to the front of your cards depends on what look you want, the number you are doing, and the time you have for your project.

I also punched out 2 circles without the thank you sentiment so that I could use them as tags on the finished set.

Once I had everything punched out, I unassembled the notecard set so that I could add my stamped images to the premade cards.

I also added a little bit of stamping to the envelopes in the set.

I attached the stamped circles to the card fronts.

Each set had equal amounts of each colored frame.

When I was done, everything fit right back into the original packaging. I tied the twill back around the boxes and added the tags stamped with the "just for you" sentiment from Fillable Frames #9 - the font combinations is the same as Tag-its #2 and so they coordinate perfectly.

All of the Tag-its sets would work great for this kind of project. I can already see holiday card assembly becoming an easy job!
