Saturday, I spent the day at Scrap for Survival up in Duluth, MN. The event is sponsored by the Young Survival Coalition who support young women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. This is my 4th year of being involved by teaching a class during the day that the attendees are able to attend.

People who attend the event include survivors and family and friends. Breast cancer touches and affects so many of our lives. One of the reasons I do this event is for my aunt who, right now, is surviving her 3rd breast cancer diagnosis.

We made the little spring accordian book that I had done for the senior design team challenge back in March - lots of die cutting for me to prep for the class, but I knew that it was the project that I wanted to share with this group of women!

Everyone had a great time in the class assembling the little book...

And stamping with the Garden Variety set...

And spending time together for a good cause doing something that we all love!

In past years, by best friend Brianna has come up to help with my class, but this year she taught her own class! We did a shadow box project that involved "shopping" from this table of scrapbook and vintage goodness.

Here is her finished project - everyone loved it. I loved seeing all of the different frames that were created!

The day is always a good one and love coming back again and again - I will definitely see all of you again next year! Thank you to the YSC of Duluth for making this amazing event happen!
