stamp-a-faire 2012: handmade embellishments
July 21, 2012
Are you still creating for Papertrey Ink's Stamp-a-Faire 2012? There has been so much inspiration shared today! Next up is handmade embellishements...
One trend out there right now in embellishments is circle badges. I have seen them in button form, made from paper, and even embroidered like scout badges (or the SAF summer camp badges!) Turn to your felt supply and create your own that will coordinate perfectly with the colors and images you want for pennies on the dollar. I am going to show you how to start with a felt circle base and the build from there with stitching, die cut shapes from patterned papers, stamped sentiments, and finishing details like a bit of bling with a rhinestone. The badges are perfect for embellishing tags, cards, scrapbook pages, and more. They are an embellishment that can accent your project or take center stage as the focal point on your project.
Here are a few stills from the video tutorial:

Be sure to share your handmade embellishment over at Nichole's blog. All of the information on posting your projects and the contests can be found there.
Happy camping! Hope you have been having a great day!
