more winter snow globe
September 11, 2012
It's day 2 of the Papertrey Ink September release. Today I have more projects to share with my new set Winter Snow Globe and there are bits of my new Framed Out #8 too.
All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on September 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.
This card duo is ready to spread some holiday cheer for sure. The globe in the Winter Snow Globe set coordinates with a 1 3/4" circle punch or die which also means that the images included in the set to go into the globe also coordinate with that size as well. For this card, I stamped the Santa into the globe image and then punched it out. The snow globe base is stamped onto the kraft cardstock and then the globe is attached right above it.
The sentiment and small oval frame are from the Framed Out #8 set and stamped into the inside shape of the die cut.
Don't limit yourself to just using the globe image and die cut or punch to put together your snow globes! I had some fun creating a snow globe from two pieces of punched clear cardstock. I inserted the colored tree stamped on the coordinating die and some chunky glitter and then stitched around the edge with my sewing machine.
I really love this whimsical and glittery globe that was the result - it may show up on projects for this upcoming holiday again! I really like how the background of this card that I stamped with the new Happy Harlequin set shows through the snow globe.
Next I took the Winter Penguin set to add this fun little guy to a snow globe. Look through images in your stamp collection and fill your globe up with whatever will fit!
The snow globe is stamped onto the coordinating die cut and then I added the penguin and the "snow". To finish the globe off I stapled a 1 3/4" circle punched piece of clear cardstock over the globe part of the image.
The sentiment on the card is from the Framed Out #8 set. I used the new Limeade Ice ink and ribbon paired with Pure poppy for the fresh & bright holiday color scheme.
Today, be sure to stop by Nichole's blog as she is sharing more about the Winter Snow globe set and many other new sets for this month's release as well. Danielle will be sharing more about the new Gingerbread Lane set and Jessica will share more about the new Boards & Beams and Home for the Holidays dies. Tiffany, Lizzie,Dawn, and Melissa will all be sharing peeks of their new sets on their blogs too.
Thanks so much for stopping by again today! I will be back tomorrow with more!
