september release review

I have 2 posts today. Scroll down to see the post that features the Beautiful Beads product line.

It's the Papertrey Ink September release day today! This post features the rest of the projects that I designed for this month.

All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing will be available to purchase today, September 15th, 10PM ET at Papertrey Ink.

First up is a card using the new Mistletoe & Holly set.  I played around with the emboss resist technique for this card, first stamping the background with the text from Background Basics: Christmas, embossing the Mistletoe leaves in clear, sponging on and stamping more leaves with Ripe Avocado ink, and finally adding berries with Scarlet Jewel ink.

I added my sentiment onto a kraft oval that I had stamped more Mistletoe leaves on in Classic Kraft ink. A simple detail that pulls the elements of the card together.

Next I had so much fun stamping this sweet gingerbread house using Lizzie's new Gingerbread Lane set. It was easy to add all of the elements and I had fun glittering the little house up with glitter and rhinestones.

How much fun would this be as an invitation to a Christmas cookie baking party? Yum.

Snowflake Medley by Tiffany became a set that I reached for many times while creating for this release. You can't go wrong with snowflakes as a background or as an accent. This cards gives the snowflakes a chance to shine as the focal point of the card.

I die cut several snowflakes from the Rustic White layer so that I could frame them a bit and then the snowflakes are stamped onto the Fine Linen cardstock, embossed with clear embossing powder, and then I added glitter while the embossing was still warm. One more pass with a heat tool sets the glitter for a beautifully perfect glittered snowflake. I added the "let it snow" sentiment from my Framed Out #8 set next to each snowflake.

The new Bits & Buttons set is so much fun and perfect to use with the previously released Holiday Button Bits set (as well as all of the other Button Bits sets too!) and new coordinating die cuts. I used the striped circle piece stamped in Limeade Ice and Aqua Mist to create a plaid design that I used on the snowman tummy and then also to paper piece parts of the hat.

The snow is from the Winter Snow Globe set and then I added the simple "joy" sentiment with Melissa's new Peace, Love & Joy set.

I am loving the simple shape sets and Cover Plate sets that Papertrey Ink has been adding to their collection! I decided to cut the harlequin cover plate in kraft paper and then stamp the harlequin shapes in just Fresh Snow ink.

The background in neutral enough to use with just about anything you want. I just added a simple sentiment from the set on a Double Ended Banners die and paired with a bit of Limeade Ice ribbon and some red rhinestones to finish off this card.

And finally, this is the Heart-2-Heart #8 set by Melissa. I decided to make a little clothesline for hearts across 2 little trees.

Simple and sweet and perfect to send to a friend who needs a little love in their mailbox!
