january release review
January 15, 2013
Welcome to the Papertrey Ink January release day! Tonight at 10PM ET, all of the new stamp sets and products that the whole design team has been sharing the last several days will be available to purchase.
I have a few more cards to share using sets from this month's release...
First up is a card created with Melissa's Heart-2-Heart #12 set and Dawn's Happy For You set.
A happy bunch of flowers that go perfectly with a happy sentiment. When I stamped the flowers, I used Ripe Avocado for the stems and Pure Poppy & Scarlett Jewel for the flowers. There's a little bit of tone on tone stamping on the Pure Poppy strip at the top of the card.
Next up is a card stamped with Maile's new Square Prints set and Think Big Favorites #24.
I stamped up the squares in several shades of green: Ripe Avocado, Simply Chartreuse, Limeade Ice, and Spring Moss and then punched them out with a 3/4" square punch.
I laid out the squares like a quilt to create the background and then stamped the birthday sentiment over the top in True Black.
Finally, a card created with the new Everyday Photo Finishers. I pulled out the Night Night Moon set to create the background stamped with Fresh Snow ink onto kraft cardstock.
The "sweet little baby" sentiment is stamped in Smokey Shadow on the Photo Finsh Strip die cut that is them layered onto the Simple Circles border die that is cut from the Spring Moss print in the Pretty Pastels patterned paper. I created the extra wide ribbon look by lining up 2 pieces of the ribbon next to each other. The seam of the ribbon is covered by the sentiment border piece.
You can see all of the supply lists for these projects and see all of the projects created for the January release by the design team over in the Papertrey gallery. Be sure to stop by and chat with everyone about the January release over in the Papertrey forums too.
Thank you so much everyone for a great countdown! I look forward to seeing new creations once everyone gets the new sets and products.
I will be back tomorrow to share about something pretty close to my heart. I hope you will stop back.
