more world map, destination, and framed out #12
January 11, 2013
Welcome to day 2 of the Papertrey Ink January release countdown. Today I have more projects to share with you using my 3 new sets: World Map, Destination, and Framed Out #12.
All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on January 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.
I pulled out my watercolor brush for this card. First I embossed the World Map image in clear embossing powder on white cardstock and then used Spring Rain and Ripe Avocado reinker to watercolor the land and water on the map. It's not precise or exact coloring, but I love the charm of the look!
The "wish you were here" sentiment is from the Road Trip set. I created the embellishments with some epoxy circles that I layered onto pieces of Postmarks patterned paper.
Next up is a simple and sweet little "bon voyage" card using the Destination set. I created a background with the ticket image stamped in Fine Linen on the Rustic Cream card base.
The sentiment is layered with the boat and arrow images and then I added a border with Spring Rain striped paper cut at an angle and ticket pieces that were stamped with Classic Kraft ink on kraft cardstock and cut out.
Of course I have to get a little scrapbooking done for this countdown - the World Map and Destination sets are just too perfect to use for it! I took a trip this past August with my mom, aunt, and cousins to Idaho/Wyoming. This page has some photos from Grand Teton National Park. My plan is to have scrapbook pages in front of each part of our trip and then I will add photo pages with the rest of the pictures. I am hoping to share more pages for my album with you in the next few days!
I used World Map and Destination to create the piece for the photo blocking that I did on the page. I stamped the World Map in Pinefeather ink on Vintage Cream cardstock and added the circle piece that is stamped with the map piece from Destination and part of one of the definition sentiments. The epoxy circle element was created with paper from the Road Trip patterned paper collection.
The polaroid style frame from Framed Out #12 is perfect for highlighting parts of a photo on a scrapbook page - it will work well for framing little tiny photos too!
More definition sentiment stamps along with the ticket, arrow, and "destination" sentiment make up the other stamped block on the scrapbook page.
And finally a card that I created with the Framed Out #12 set. I embossed the polaroid frame in white on the Smokey Shadow card base along with the heart image from the set that I stamped and embossed several times across the card front.
The square frame piece is stamped with the "you make my heart smile" sentiment and I added an accent to the side of the square that I created with Pure Poppy bitty dot paper and the Double Ended Banners die.
Today, Nichole will be sharing more about the World Map and Destination sets on her blog. make sure you stop by the other stamp designers blogs today too: Melissa, Dawn, and Maile.
I will have more to share tomorrow - see you then & thank you for stopping by today!
