more wonderful words: hello & watercolor wonder
February 12, 2013
Welcome to day 3 of the Papertrey Ink February release and festivities for the 6th anniversary celebration! Today I have another card to share using my new Wonderful Words: Hello set today with a watercolor twist!
All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on February 15, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.
Today is all about the watercolor look and for the contest going on today, you need to create a card/project with a watercolor look/technique. You can get the details about this contest and all of the contests going on right now over at Nichole's blog.
To create this fun watercolor card, I used Maile's new Watercolor Wonder set - how fun to have all of the brush stroke images that are included in the set. I used one of the brush stroke images and stamped it repeatedly across white cardstock. Before I stamped each image, I spritzed the inked stamp with some water. That made the colors move and blend when I stamped them on the cardstock.
After the cardstock was dry, I die cut the "hello" from the center of the image.
For the tag, I used the "hello" that I die cut from the card piece - I really love the watercolored look on the word! A few sequins finish off both the tag and card.
Today, Nichole will have more new products to share over on her blog and Maile will be sharing more about Watercolor Wonder on her blog. Stop by Dawn, Lizzie, and Melissa's blogs too see what they are sharing with their new sets today!
Tomorrow is a group post day and I will have more to share with Wonderful Words: Hello too! Thank you for stopping by today!
