tremendous treats: valentine revisited

Happy February! It's crazy that the first month of 2013 is done - time seems to fly by faster and faster. We are trying to keep warm here in Minnesota this week! Last weekend was the big bike race for Team Tacy and raising money for United Cerebral Palsy. It was a great day and I hope to have a video up to share very soon. Our team raised over $7000 at the event. $22,000 was raised in total and I am so proud of our team that we raised more than 1/4 of that! Thank you everyone!

The first of February also means that it's time for the Papertrey Ink senior design team challenge. Today we are sharing projects created with the Tremendous Treats: Valentine set. It's just a few short weeks away to Valentine's Day and what better than a little more inspiration to get some treat projects done for family and friends.

For my treat package, I turned to the Essential Pillow Box die. I die cut the boxes from Hibiscus Burst cardstock and then stamped the hearts on them with Raspberry Fizz ink. I added a window in the side with the largest of the Heart Prints dies and then covering the opening with some clear cardstock that is attached with Scor-tape to the inside of the box.

I paper pieced the color onto the cupcake image from the Tremendous Treats: Valentine set and then added a glittered heart that is made with the smallest Heart Prints die. The little tag is from the Tremendous Tags die collection that debuted this past month. I tied it onto the ribbon that I had added to the box with a bit of button twine.

There are so many fun treats that you can fill the boxes with and I chose do the traditional conversation hearts. I really like how the treat shows through the window on the box!

Stop back to see the video from the bike race soon and it won't be long at it will be time for sneak peeks and 6th anniversary festivities for Papertrey Ink! See you soon!
