tea for two revisited
April 01, 2013
Happy April, everyone & Happy Easter yesterday! The beginning of this month is truly new beginnings for our family as we move this week out of the house we have been in for over 9 years and into our new home. We still have snow on the ground here in Minnesota, but the temperatures hopefully will keep on the warm side from now on. The warmer temperatures this past week helped melt the ice we have been chipping away from our shed so we can get at our bikes for the big move.
The beginning of April also means time for the Papertrey Ink senior design team challenge. This month we are using the Tea for Two and Tea for Two Additions sets. I turned to Pinterest to put together a little tea gift and card for the project I am sharing today.
I was inspired by stacked porcelain tea cups and wanted to recreate the look and texture...

For a gift idea, I love the idea of giving some tea in a fancy little jar...
Imprintables blog: oh so sweet! tea jar
I had fun playing with embossing, watercolor, and distressing to put together this little ensemble.
The cups are stamped and embossed in clear on Fine Linen cardstock. I went back with a watercolor brush and reinkers to color in the details and edges of the die cut pieces. The texture and look is perfect for a teacup!
For my little gift, I took tea bags and added some custom tags to them with some jute twine and then tucked them into a jar.
The tag includes another teacup created the same way as on the card.
What a sweet little gift for a friend for anytime or something to send get well wishes!
Make sure to visit the rest of the Papertrey Ink senior design team to see the projects that they created with the Tea for Two and Tea for Two Additions sets: Betsy, Dawn, Maile, and Melissa.
I will see you soon for the April release sneak peeks and countdown!
