It's day 4 of the Papertrey Ink June release countdown! Today is a group post day and the Papertrey design team are all sharing projects made with the new Vegetable Garden set - a much requested addition to Garden Variety and Garden Variety II. I also have another project to share that uses some of my new sets.
All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on June 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.
The first Garden Variety sets are one of my top favorites from Papertrey Ink and I really love that there is now a coordinating set with vegetables to round out the collection.
My first card incorporates the Seed Packet die as a part of the card front and the carrot image. I stamped up the pieces to the front of the seed packet and then added images from both Garden Variety sets.
I added a little card into the seed packet pocket to add an extra special little message. You could tuck a gift card or maybe even a little bunch of seeds for a gift - perfect for for a gardening friend!
I don't think I will ever get tired of using the Garden Variety sets...
This next card includes lots of veggies from the vegetable Garden set. I LOVE the multi-step stamping to achieve the multi-colored images. Anything that can make me an "instant artist" is a favorite.
I dug out a Papertrey Classic, First Fruits, to add the leaf flourish detail and sentiment. How perfect is Vegetable Garden for creating cards to celebrate Thanksgiving? If you do any canning the vegetable images will be so perfect for dressing up tags and labels for your homemade goods.
And now here's a project using my new Teacher Tickets and Antique Alphabet sets.
I put together some bookmarks for my girls for back to school this fall. After the girls are done using them, I can slip them right into their school scrapbooks (they better watch out for me next spring while they are reading...!)
I used one of the Half & Half dies to make the bookmark base. I cut a strip the width of the die, die cut just the top of the strip with the die and that allowed me to make the bookmark as long as I needed to to fit the girls names.
The circle image that I used is from Tag-its #6 - another set that will coordinate wonderfully with all of the back to school themed sets being released this month.
Make sure to go to Nichole's blog to link up to the whole design team and see the projects that they have created with the Vegetable Garden set. Melissa, Dawn, and Maile all have new sets this month and so stop by their blogs to see more.
Thank you so much for stopping by today - I will be back with more tomorrow!
