papertrey ink september release wrap up
September 15, 2013
It's release day at Papertrey Ink! All of the new stamp sets and products that the design team have been sharing during the countdown will be available to purchase tonight, September 15th, 10PM ET at Papertrey Ink.
Today I have the rest of my projects for this September release to share with you...
First up is a card that uses the new Boutique Borders: Christmas paired with Layered Postmarks: Holiday.
I stamped the trees in Spring moss and then stamped the postmark overlay in Classic Kraft ink that I had spritzed with water before stamping. The Boutique Borders: Christmas framed is stamped in Fine Linen ink and then I added the sentiment and sweet little holly image. I love the rustic/vintage feel of this card.
Next is a card using Holiday Home and right away I was drawn to the little church/chapel image. I did a layered emboss resist technique with the Background Basics: Postmarks set.
Sweet and simple - this is one that would be an easy card to mass produce for sending out for the holidays.
This card uses the new Stained Glass, Background Basics: Stitching, and Global Greetings: Christmas sets.
I did a little bit of watercolor paired with clear embossing on kraft cardstock for a very rustic look.
I did some watercolor paired with clear embossing on this card too that uses the new sets: Holiday Cheer and Grand Ampersand.
I love how the multi-colored sentiment turned out using Pure Poppy, Smokey Shadow, and New Leaf inks.
I was finally able to try out the scratch and sniff technique with this sweet little gingerbread that uses the Scent-iments set. This was a set that was sent to customers that ordered the Stamp-a-Faire kits and now is available for anyone who would like to purchase it.
I used cinnamon (my favorite!) for my scratch and sniff scent and it smells so good!
My last couple of cards are not geared towards the holidays - even though this one using the Kid Kudos set uses a red and green color combination!
I am excited about how much fun this set and the addition set will be to stamp up some simple and sweet notes for my girls and their friends - too much fun!
And finally, I had to pull out my Nuts For You set that debuted last month so that the squirrel could hold the pumpkin from the new Polka Dot Parade #8 set.
I am pretty sure this little guy will keep making appearances here and there when there is something good for him to hang on to!
