two feet deep and more wonderful words: joy

Welcome to day 4 of the Papertrey Ink September release countdown! Today is a group post day and we are all sharing cards and tags created with the new Two Feet Deep set. I snuck a bit of Wonderful Words: Joy into my projects today too!

I am so excited this set for winter and the holidays - especially the snowshoe! Our family loves to snowshoe and now how is it that I can create cards and tags that include this favorite winter activity. And the coordinating snowshoe die that lets you lace up your stamped snowshoes? I am in love for sure.

I die cut the snow shoes from a cork sheet and then stamped the snowshoe frame onto it in Dark Chocolate ink. FYI - next time I decide to stamp onto cork I will choose a permanent ink. The dye based ink did not dry very well on the cork.

The background of my card is the largest of the Fancy Flakes dies in white on a Soft Stone card base and then I stamped additional snowflakes in Fresh Snow ink.

The holes to lace up the snowshoes punched just fine through the cork and I laced them all up with 2 strands of white embroidery floss. The snowshoe bindings are attached with a glue dot to the top of the snowshoe.

For the tag, I used the Mega mat Stack 1 die cut from Soft Stone cardstock and then stamped it with snowflakes in Fresh Snow ink.

I added the snowshoes and then a sentiment with the "joy" die cut stamped with the image in Classic Kraft ink on kraft cardstock and then added the "winter" sentiment from the Two Feet Deep set. I love the look of the "joy" layered over the smallest fancy Flakes die cut.
