introducing wonderful words: snow
October 10, 2013
Hi everyone! Welcome to day 1 of the Papertrey Ink October release countdown. I have 2 new stamp sets debuting for this release that I am excited to share with you in the next few days!
All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on October 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.
First up is the next in the Wonderful Words series. This month's word is "snow". Wonderful Words: Snow is a set that includes a large word (snow) with companion words and sentiments. This month's word is a done with a bold font and the stamp image has a snowflake overlay pattern. The set has a coordinating die for the large word as well. You can use the die alone, stamp the word alone, or use the 2 together. Wonderful Words: Snow retails for $5.
The other set debuting this month is called Rustic Wreath. The set features a larger wreath image that is reminiscent of my Rustic Branches set, but with a more delicate look & feel. I am excited about the possibilities with this larger wreath. There are so many possibilities for coloring, embossing, etc. I will be sharing more about this new set with you tomorrow!
Today I have projects to share that use my new Wonderful Words: Snow set...
You know that I had to pull out my watercoloring supplies to use with this set!
For this card, I embossed the "snow" word on white cardstock with clear embossing powder. I pulled out my ink refills and water brush and did watercoloring around the embossed word with Aqua Mist, Ocean Tides, and Winter Wisteria.
This might not be the last emboss resist card with this set that you see in this countdown - I really like how the snowflakes pop with this technique!
For this next card, I die cut the "snow" word from a piece of cardstock that I had watercolored with the same ink colors. I also added adhesive to the front of the word with my Xyron sticker machine and then dipped it into some Prisma glitter. I love how pretty & sparkly the word turned out!
I added a bit of a snow flurry to the Aqua Mist cardstock with snowflakes from the Peace Be Still set.
There is more to see on this first day of the countdown: Nichole will have lots of new things to share over at her blog, Betsy will also be sharing projects with my Wonderful Words: Snow set, and Dawn will be sharing the new 2013 Holiday Tags set. The stamp designers have been busy this month so stop by their blogs too: Erin, Dawn, Melissa, and Maile.
Thank you for stopping by today and I will see you again tomorrow for projects with my Rustic Wreath set.
