Hello everyone! First of all I am so happy to report that of posting right now, Team Tacy has raised over $2000 for United Cerebral Palsy of Central Minnesota! Thank you to everyone that has made a donation to our team!
Our goal is to meet or even beat the $7000 that we raised last year.
We race in honor of my sweet Tacy. I shared a bit of her story in my last post, but I thought I would share a few of her favorite things that she did over this past year with all of you :)
One really cool thing was trying out the sled-ski at the ski hill near here during a class field trip. She LOVED flying down the ski hill! Such a cool opportunity for her...
This is a normal everyday thing that Tacy loves - piling on the bracelets. When she gets home from school, she brings us to her closet so we can get them down for her (she has a big bin full!)
Tacy has always loved riding in the paddle boat at my parents house and this past summer, she was able to actually do the pedaling. Her legs are long enough and her coordination and endurance have so improved.
Therapeutic horseback riding, of course, is a big favorite. We ride at least one session a year - 2 if we can fit it in!
Tacy was in a horse show that was sponsored by the organization that she rides with - Project ASTRIDE. What a great experience and Tacy was so excited about her ribbons from the show :)
We have a bike trailer that is larger to accommodate Tacy so that we can go out riding as a family. Tacy loves it!
Blowing dandelion puffs is something Tacy loves and if there is one (or more) in the yard, she has to go pick it.
Swimming has always been a huge favorite. This year, Tacy was able to get into the inner tube all by herself. So cool.
Tacy loves the beach in general, whether she is in the water or just playing on the beach. This is at Park Point on Lake Superior in Duluth, MN.
Tacy loves the snow and she helped build this snow cat when she was visiting my parents house.
We like to snowshoe as a family, and while she can do it for a little while, Tacy tires very quickly. We bring a sled with and pull her along with us as we go!
Thank you so much for letting me share. GO TEAM TACY!
