wonderful words: friends & figure of speech frame die
January 11, 2014
Welcome to day 2 of the Papertrey Ink January release countdown! Today I have projects to share using my new set Wonderful Words: Friends and the new Figures of Speech frame die. I mixed a few sentiments from my new Four Square set into some of my projects today as well!
All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on January 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.
For this card, I stamper the "friends" word repeatedly in a rainbow color combination down the card front and then added the "make the world a better place" sentiment to one of the "friends" The result is a very graphic and fun look for sure!
I am a little bit in love with Erin's new background set, Background Basics: Diagonals, and have found myself reaching for it again and again! I used the arrow shaped diagonals background on the left side of the card front in Classic Kraft ink and then added the colored accents to correspond with the colors I stamped the "friends" words in.
How fun is the new Figures of Speech frame die? It is just perfect for using with any of the Wonderful Words sets, including the new Wonderful Words: Friends. For this card I die cut the frame from kraft cardstock and then stamped it with the Background Basics: Diagonals set in Fresh Snow ink. The "friends" words is stamped in Hibiscus Burst onto a white die cut and then the card is on a Enchanted Evening card base.
I used the "rock" banner sentiment from the Four Square set to complete my "friends rock" sentiment. A little bit of bling and glitter stars finished off this fun card.
For this last card, I took the word bubble from the Figures of Speech frame die in white cardstock and stamped it with various words from the Four Square set in a bunch of different colors. Such a fun and festive way for a card to celebrate friendship. You can use this same idea to create cards for birthdays, congratulations, etc. - the possibilites are endless!
The "friends" is die cut from kraft cardstock and I used the Background Basics: Diagonals set again on the bottom edge of the card, this time embossed in white.
There is more to see today during the second day of the countdown: Nichole will have lots of new things to share over at her blog and Laura will be sharing projects created with the Background Basics: Diagonals & Additions sets. Stop by the stamp designers blog today who have new sets to share this month: Dawn, Melissa, Erin, Lizzie, and Tiffany.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I look forward to sharing more with you again tomorrow!
