spring fling

Heatherbunny

Welcome to another day of the Papertrey Ink's 7th anniversary and February release countdown! Today is a group post day and we are all thinking of spring and sharing projects created with the new sets Garden Grace, Hippity Hoppity, and the new Bunny Box die.

All of the new sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on February 15th, 10PM Eastern, at Papertrey Ink.

With all of the grey and snow and cold, it is so much fun to create projects for spring. Garden Grace is such a breath of fresh air and makes me think of planning my gardens in the near future! I stamped the flowers around the white cardstock, leaving a space in the center for the sentiment. The roses are stamped in Hibiscus Burst, the leaves in Spring Moss, and the smaller flowers in Harvest Gold & Summer Sunrise.

I then added the rose details embossed in white. It added dimension and a beautiful soft look to the card.

The bow under the sentiment is made with Hibiscus Burst twill ribbon and I topped it off with a row of Hibiscus Burst buttons.

How much fun is this cute Bunny Box? It's so perfect for delivering jelly beans or a small Easter gift inside. I use my Hippity Hoppity set to create a coordinating card to go with the Bunny Box.

I had to create my bunny from kraft cardstock and then I added whiskers made from Rustic Cream button twine. I used a magnetic snap on my box to keep it closed. (if you cut the egg piece in the same color as the box, it works great to cover up the back of the whiskers and made a great spot to add the magnet.)

The details like the inside of the ears, nose and dots on the egg are created with Sweet Blush, Harvest Gold, and Limeade Ice patterned papers. The dots are punched out with a 3/8" circle punch and the eyes are Smokey Shadow cardstock punched with a 1/8" circle punch.

Of course, you cant forget the tail! I die cut my tail from Vintage Cream felt and attached it to the back side with a glue dot.

Here's the coordinating card with my new Hippity Hoppity set. I die cut and stamped the bunny onto kraft cardstock and then added an egg die cut from white cardstock. I colored the dots on the eggs in with Copic markers and the bunny's nose too.

I had to add some circle punch outs to the background of the card to match the egg on the Bunny Box - so cute & fun!
