strawberry patch revisited

Welcome to March and welcome to the Papertrey Ink senior design team challenge! This month we are revisiting the Strawberry Patch and Strawberry Patch Sentiments sets.

My best friend's littlest has red hair and so they lovingly refer to her as their strawberry. This little sweetie is turning 1 this next month and so there was no question what projects I wanted to create!

First, a scrapbook page starring the strawberry herself with some photos that I took when they were over at my house one day. I printed the photos in a 3" x 4" size and then rounded the corners so that they would match the Monthly Moments: Journal Card 1 die.

I used the larger strawberry cluster on the journal card stamped in Classic Kraft ink and then I added the strawberry in Hibiscus Burst and the stems and leaves in Simply Chartreuse ink. The flowers are stamped with Fresh Snow ink and the centers are stamped with Summer Sunrise. I used a white gel pen to add the seeds on the strawberry.

I added the photo caption onto a vellum strip with my typewriter and the date stamp is from the Monthly Moments: Slide Frame set.

Next is a card for this little strawberry's birthday next month. I stamped the sentiment first in True Black ink onto Sweet Blush cardstock and then added the single solid strawberry images, stamping them in Hibiscus Burst and Simply Chartreuse inks.

I used the Edgers #2 die at the top of the Sweet Blush cardstock and then a few Simply Chartreuse buttons for the perfect embellishment to finish off this card.
