introducing monthly moments: april

Hi everyone! Welcome to day 1 of the Papertrey Ink April release countdown! Today, I want to introduce the next up in my Monthly Moments series - Monthly Moments: April.

All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on April 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.

Monthly Moments is a monthly grouping of products that will coordinate with a pocket style scrapbook layout. You will be able to use these products for regular layouts as well and they will work wonderfully for card making too!

The April set features a little bit of Easter, a little bit of Earth Day, and a little bit of rainy days. Monthly Moments: April retails for $15. I will be sharing a bit more about what all is included in the Monthly Moments: April kit a little bit later in the countdown.

Today, I have a pocket layout that utilizes the Earth Day elements of Monthly Moments: April and a card to share with you.

I am not going to lie, this Monthly Moments series and sharing all of the layout with you is seriously helping me catch up on my personal scrapbooking - both current pages and ones from a while ago. And really, that is the point of all of this. My photos have been just waiting to be put into layouts and albums!

I really wanted to make sure that I kept the sets and journal cards not year specific when I designed them so that it would be easy to sit down with what you had to work with from whenever and get layouts done. Here and there you might see something a little date specific, but overall the whole series can be used now, later in the future, or with photos from the past.

This pocket layout features photos from the Earth Day run a few years back that is sponsored by the local university. They have a kids run, a 5K, and a half marathon. Plus the university field house always has fun activities that our girls love to go do and a little bit of shopping from local vendors.

I die cut letters for my page title from Smokey Shadow cardstock using the Modern Alphabet dies and stitched them right down to the scoreboard photo. I used a bunch of arrows from the new Teepee Time dies that you will hear more about during the countdown that I cut from a cork sheet.

You will be seeing more about the new Stenciled Alphabet Blocks dies a little later in the countdown that I used here. I used  the "H" paired with an arrow from the new Teepee Time dies on her photo from the race.

This layout has just a little bit of stamping that you can see here on the card that I typed up my journaling on. I added the "Happy Earth Day" sentiment in Smokey Shadow ink and then stamped the world image next to it. The world image is a two step stamp. The green land is one stamp and then there is a matching circle to fill in the water that I stamped with Ocean Tides ink.

Another Stenciled Alphabet die paired with an arrow was used here for Chad's picture from the race.

I added the month to one of the journal cards with the new Monthly Moments: April die and the year was die cut with the Modern Numbers dies cut from Smokey Shadow cardstock.

Another layout for my scrapbook and photo albums is complete!

I used the Monthly Moments: April set to put together this quick little card. I am in love with that world image and I paired with the the "you are my world" sentiment that is also included in the set.

I stamped everything onto the new Monthly Moments: Mini Journal Card die. It's a bit smaller than the Monthly Moments: Journal Card 1 die and you will see why as the countdown continues ;)

I clustered the stamped world image with an arrow die cut from a cork sheet and the little heart is die cut with the Heart Prints die cut from Pure Poppy cardstock. This card turned out so sweet!
