I don't usually tend to choose bright color combinations when I am stamping, but what a breath of fresh air with the bright and cheery projects that I created! The patterned papers are the perfect starting point for choosing colors for projects.
The first card uses the larger scalloped rectangle shaker box. I put the "sprinkled" word die cut from Raspberry Fizz right inside my shaker and it's actually 2 layers of cardstock to help pop it up just a bit. The double sided adhesive foam really makes putting together the shaker boxes so easy - especially when you can die cut everything to fit perfectly together.
Can you stand all those cute confetti pieces and sequins? The little rainbow pieces look like they could go on top of a cupcake, I die cut the heart confetti from Hibiscus Burst cardstock using one of the dies included with the kit, and can I just die a little bit about that flower sequin mix???
I think I will probably hoard all the little test tubes of glitter and sequins - they are so cute! It makes me need more test tubes to transfer the rest of my confetti and glitter collection into!
We have a special birthday happening in our house today - Hana turns 11! I had to create a special card with this kit for her and I know she's going to go crazy over this pink heart shaker card. She is an all pink girl and so I stuck with Raspberry Fizz and Hibiscus Burst for my colors and added lots of pink confetti to the card too.
For the base of the heart shaker box, I used a the heart that is the center part of the frame and die cut the heart confetti die out of the center of it. I love that the dies are shaped so you can use them like this as well as for making the confetti. It adds such a fun dimension to the card.
I know she will love this and I can't wait to give it to her later today when we celebrate!
For this last card, I used strips of Scor-tape across the bottom and top of the card and then piled a bunch of confetti onto it to create the festive confetti strips.
There was a little method to my madness: I started with the pink hearts, then added the Hawaiian Shores circle confetti, then the stars, some little orange flowers I picked out of the flower mix (I know, right?), and then when all the larger pieces where where I wanted them, I dumped the chunky gold glitter over the strip and pressed it in with my fingers so it would stick onto all of the rest of the exposed Scor-tape.
I am so happy with how the confetti strips turned out - how perfect for a birthday, graduation, or any other confetti worthy event.
So much fun, right? Remember that there are only limited amount of kits available and one they are gone, they are gone. So, get that fabulous confetti while you can!
