papertrey ink april release wrap up
April 15, 2014
It's release day at Papertrey Ink! All of the new stamp sets and products that the design team have been sharing during the countdown will be available to purchase tonight, April 15th, 10PM ET at Papertrey Ink.
Today I have the rest of my projects for this April release to share with you...
First, is a card created with the Botanical Block set. You know I had to do some watercolor with this one! I embossed the image in white onto kraft cardstock and then used Orange Zest, Berry Sorbet, and Ripe Avocado ink refills to color the image with a water brush.
The sentiment is from the new Birthday Classics: May set that I stamped onto the little banner from the Tag Sale #10 die. The stamped image is matted with some vellum that I embossed with polka dots from Polka Dot Basics II in white.
It was fun to get a little quilty with the new Modern Cross Quilt set and coordinating cover plate. I stamped the cross pieces in Ocean Tides, Ripe Avocado, and Simply Chartreuse ink and then arranged them in a barn raising pattern within the cover plate die cut.
The sentiment on this card is from the new Initial Thoughts set. I used the coordinating frame die cut in Ocean Tides over the solid die cut in white cardstock and stamped the sentiment and dotted line so that they would show through the opening on the frame.
Here's a little card created with the new The A-Mazing Stamp Set. I used the maze image to create a background and then added the trail with the "me" & " you" at the beginning and end of it.
The arrow die cuts that I added are from the Phrase Play #3 die and then Teepee Time dies.
Isn't this little Teepee just the cutest? And so much fun to stamp! I stamped the teepee in Ripe Avocado and Simply Chartreuse inks and added the details with Dark Chocolate ink. I stamped the "ground" with the other various arrow images in the set in Classic Kraft ink.
The "happy new home" sentiment is stamped in Dark Chocolate ink. I added the criss cross border above and below it along with some more die cut arrows cut from a cork sheet.
I layered different patterned papers with kraft cardstock to create this card made with the new Phrase Play #3 set and coordinating die cut.
I added the "I miss you" sentiment into the Monthly Moments: March arrow die cut from whitecardstock.
And finally, a birthday card for one of my special nephews who is turing 15 this summer and is a football fanatic. The new Football Frenzy set was absolutely perfect to create a card for him! The other great part was being able to make the card in his school colors. He is going to love it.
I also used the new Letterman Stitched Number dies - the perfect way to personalize this card for his 15th birthday. The new Background Basics: Random Stripes die was perfect for the background in Classic Kraft ink onthe kraft background.
