You can purchase the Monthly Moments products over at Papertrey Ink. There's an easy to find tab for scrapbooking right on the front page. Click that and it will take you right where you need to go! Another easy way to find the Monthly Moments products is to just type "Monthly Moments" right into the search box at the top of the page at the Papertrey Ink website.

So many of us celebrated the Easter holiday just a few weeks ago, and I know that you maybe took some photos along the way as well. So much of the time, I use my camera on my phone to take pictures of things everyday and while there is nothing wrong with that, I made sure to have my DSLR (I use a Canon Rebel T2i) out and along and took lots of pictures with that too on Easter weekend.

Remember that the best camera is the one you have with you and the main goal is to capture memories so you can look back on them later!

This layout features photos from dyeing Easter eggs with my girls. One thing I should mention is that Tacy isn't always interested in doing activities like these. I like to encourage her to join us, but not force her because I know that will end up in a meltdown (if you aren't aware, she has significant special needs.) Sometimes she has no interest, sometimes she circles the table where we are doing the activity and just watches, and sometimes she will sit right down with us. This time she was very much into being a part of egg dyeing, which we all loved.

When we are doing activities like this or there is a special event happening, I try to take lots of different kinds of pictures: Some of the girls individually, some of everyone at the table, some with people looking at the camera, some not looking at the camera, some detail shots like the egg dye cups, maybe a whole room shot, different angles etc. Then when I get my photos printed, I can sit down and really sort through the pictures and figure out what is going to tell the whole story.

Here's a look at some of the details from my layout:

For the title I used Script Alphabet die cuts from kraft cardstock and attached them to the yellow polka dot journal card from the Monthly Moments: April Journal Card Collection. I stamped the eggs from the Monthly Moments: April set onto the Hippity Hoppity egg die cuts and attached them around the title - did I mention that these coordinate? The photo and title card are attached together on the back just to keep everything in place in the 4" x 6" pocket.

I think one of my favorite journal cards from the April collection is the Easter bunny one. I just love how it turned out and loved using it on my layout. I made a pocket with the Monthly Moments: Journal Card Pocket 1 die cut from Harvest Gold patterned paper and attached the eggs made with the Seasonal Stitching: Eggs die to the front.

I had to add the little flag with the "egg hunt" sentiment along with the eggs on the pocket because inside the pocket is a photo of our finished eggs! I actually cut that photo out with the Monthly Moments: Mini Journal Card die to make sure it would fit perfectly into the pocket.

I typed up some journaling onto this egg journal card and then added the date with the stamp from the Simply Framed set. I love how simple the design of that particular stamp is and know that I will pull it out again and again to use on scrapbook layouts.

I am sure that you noticed the little labels I used to caption the photos. I used the handwriting line stamp from the Desktop Designs set and then ran them through my typewriter to add the captions. I attached the labels to the photos with my tiny attacher stapler.

I am so happy to have this layout complete and into my album!

Visit the other members of the Monthly Moments team for some more inspiration from them for this month: Danielle,  Melissa, and Ashley.

Happy scrapbooking and please share the pages that you have created with me. I would love to see them!
