more monthly moments: june

It's time for another dose of Monthly Moments: June inspiration!

You can purchase the Monthly Moments products over at Papertrey Ink. There's an easy to find tab for scrapbooking right on the front page. Click that and it will take you right where you need to go! Another easy way to find the Monthly Moments products is to just type "Monthly Moments" right into the search box at the top of the page at the Papertrey Ink website.

I did a layout spread to share using the smaller 6" x 8" format. I am putting together a small album for Hana with pictures from her Girl Scout adventures. This past month, the troop went horseback riding and Monthly Moment: June was just perfect to document that adventure!

When I took photos, I took SO many! Digital cameras make that so easy, but then I think we want to include every last photo into our scrapbooks and photo albums. That can make things so overwhelming right there.

You don't need hundreds of photos to tell the story. Just a few will do. Do I need to keep the 20+ photos I took of the group to get just the right one? Nope. Just the best one will be enough.

Here's a look at the left side where I focused on Hana because it was her very first time horseback riding. She was so excited and scared at the same time to ride and in the end she had a wonderful and memorable experience. (I kept reminding her that if Tacy could do it, she could do it!)

This picture is as she was waiting for her horse to be led over to her to get on it. She looks so happy and excited. I added the "live in the moment" tab at the top of the picture that I created with the Monthly Moments: Tabbed set and coordinating die.

I did a little journaling on the Monthly Moments: Journal Card 4 die about Hana's experience and embellished the tag with the Journal Card Border die cut from one of the journal cards in the Monthly Moments: June journal card collection and the On the Farm horse die. I stamped some of the star burst images included in the Monthly Moments: June set across the journal card. I really like this little star burst image and have been finding my self reaching for it for adding just that extra little something to my layouts.

On this photo of Hana on her horse, I added the tab to the top of the photo and paired it with the Thank You Kindly banner die cut from another journal card in the Monthly Moments: June journal card collection. The "snapshots" circle image is included in the Monthly Moments: June set and there are lots of little images that can be stamped into the center, including the little camera.

Here's the right side that includes a group photo of Hana's troop and a bit of journaling about the day.

I typed up my journaling and then added the "sweet summertime" title stamped in Pure Poppy and the "june" month word stamped in Orange Zest. I wrote in the date of the horseback riding event and then added more or the star bursts stamped in Classic Kraft ink. I added a tab at the top of the journal card with the "we did this" sentiment - how perfect and fun is that pointing down from the group photo to the journaling?

This is ready to slip into Hana's Girl Scout album along with a few more photos from the day. I know how much fun this will be to look back on later on when the girls are older. I already love looking back on the photos from when the girls were Brownies!

Visit the other members of the Monthly Moments team for some more inspiration from them for this month: Danielle,  Melissa, and Ashley.

Happy scrapbooking and please share the pages that you have created with me. I would love to see them!
