Welcome to day 4 of the Papertrey Ink July release countdown. Today is a group post day and the whole design team is sharing projects created with some of the great new travel themed set: Get Lost, These United States, and Pack Your Bags. For my projects, I have more page layouts to share from my Lake Bemidji State Park Camping Trip mini book. See my previous post for other page layouts that I created for this book.

All of the new stamp sets and projects that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on July 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.

First up is the cover page layout for my mini book using the These United State set and the companion State Abbreviations set. This page includes a photo of my girls by the iconic Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox statues that are in Bemidji.

I stamped the "Bemidji" with the new Wet Paint Alphabet (I just love this new alphabet!) and then used the These United States set to add the "memories from" sentiment. I am so thrilled about all of the state dies and used the Minnesota one here with the abbreviation stamped in it from the State Abbreviations set. I stamped a star from the These United States set about where Bemidji is located in the state die cut piece.

The "road trip" circle element is from the new Monthly Moments: July set as well as the arrow image (that coordinates with the Monthly Moments: March arrow die) I typed up the date on a piece of one of the journal cards and attached it with my tiny attacher stapler.

It's  great start to a book that documents this camping trip.

This next layout uses the new Get Lost set along with my new Monthly Moments: July and Monthly Moments: Travel Plans sets.

IMG_2703

This photo is of the sign at the state park where we stayed. I stitched strips that I cut from a journal card in the Monthly Moments: July journal card collection to the top and bottom of the page.

IMG_2715

I stacked up a bunch of stamped elements on the side of the photo. The "this place" and circle arrow element are from the Monthly Moments: July set and the remaining elements are from the Get Lost set.

A tip for doing a stack of elements like this: decide on your larger elements first and how you want them to fall next to the photo. In this case the large element are the large arrow stamped with "get out of town" and the circle element. I attached them first and then added the next sized pieces which are the "adventure" word and the "vacation time" arrow. I stamped in the small arrow from the Get Lost set at the top and bottom of my stack to finish it off - basically filling in where I felt I needed to.

IMG_2705

This side of the layout includes some journaling and a photo of our living room floor while we were getting things packed up.

IMG_2716

I created this journal card with the striped frame from my new Monthly Moments: Travel Plans set and a Monthly Moments: Journal Card I die cut from Rustic White cardstock. I typed up my journaling and then added the little mini geotag stamp image in front of each part. The "let's make memories" stamp is from the new Get Lost set - I just love that script font!

IMG_2719

I used the little packing list label from the Get Lost set and typed up a few essentials that we try not to forget when we are packing up for a camping trip. It's stamped onto a piece of Monthly Moments: July journal card in Simply Chartreuse and I stamped the "enjoy the trip" sentiment under it in Enchanted Evening ink.

IMG_2721

Adding photos of things like your packing process might not seem like a photo you would want to use in a scrapbook, but I know looking back on what things we used and how we packed will be something we will all enjoy (remember that green lantern we had???)

IMG_2754

This last layout that I have to share uses the new Pack Your Bags set along with the Monthly Moments: Travel Plans set.

IMG_2757

It's true that the Pack Your Bags set is one that can be used for SO many occasions - including camping scrapbook layouts!

IMG_2764

These layouts give a little look at our campsite. Our whole family really enjoys just hanging out at our site: sitting around the campfire, enjoying good weather, a long nap in the tent (or the girls just like to hang out in the tent!), and eating yummy campfire treats.

 IMG_2779

I just love the new Tag Sale #11 die collection. How complete cute does it go together?? I used the opening in the tag to do a bit of journaling. For the "pack your bags" title on the tag, I masked off the other part of the sentiment stamp with some washi tape. After inking up the stamp I pulled the tape off and then stamped it onto the tag. I stamped the suitcase in Enchanted Evening and added the detail in Classic Kraft. The postmark image and "lodging:" word stamp are from the Monthly Moments: Travel Plans set.

IMG_2767

How fun and retro looking is the "happy vacation" title on the journal card? The journal card is from the Monthly Moments: July journal card collection. I added the map background with the World Map set stamped in Fine Linen ink. The mini geotags are die cut from Simply Chartreuse cardstock that I had run through my sticker machine so the adhesive would already be on the back.

IMG_2763

This side of the layout includes a photo of our tent/campsite and my favorite journal card from the Monthly Moments: July journal card collection.

IMG_2771

I kept things very simple with the tent photo. I used the arrow image from the Monthly Moments: July set and then added the bed (lodging) symbol from the Monthly Moments: Travel Plans set to it on a 1/2" punched circle (in case you were wondering where we sleep when we camp.)

I am so happy with how my layouts turned out for my Lake Bemidji State Park camping trip mini book. We had such a great time and how great is it to be able to look back on the time we spent up there.
