introducing superstition and more happy spooky halloween
August 14, 2014
Welcome to day 4 of the Papertrey Ink August release countdown! Today is another group post day and the whole design team is sharing projects created with the new Superstition set. I also have another project to share using my new Happy Spooky Halloween set.
All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on August 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.
Cats to dress up for Halloween are just perfect and fun. I love the vintage look and feel of the cats, accessories, and sentiments in the Superstition set.
My daughter Hana was peeking over my shoulder when I was creating the cards with the Superstition set and was so excited. She is the cat lover in our family and I have a feeling that this set will be getting a lot of mileage...!
I love the addition of the Everyday Cat Sentiments set to coordinate with the Superstition set so that you can utilize the set year round. I used the "I'd spend nine lives with you" sentiment here.
I stamped the cat images in Classic Kraft onto kraft cardstock, added the purr and meow sentiments, and then added the paw prints from the Cat's Meow set to create my background. A few cats stamped onto the die cuts in True Black ink on Smokey Shadow cardstock were the perfect focal point for this card.
I also have some more cards to share with you that I created with my new Happy Spooky Halloween set...
This sweet pair of cards is perfect for a not so spooky trick or treat greeting! I used one of the new Stitched Circle dies for the base that is the focal point of the card. The images are stamped onto their coordinating die cuts and I added the sentiment from the new Keep it Simple: Halloween set on the smaller Double Ended Banners die.
The new Along Came a Spider set spider web image was perfect for the corners on the kraft cardstock mat and I finished off my cards with a few stars from the Happy Spooky Halloween set stamped in Fresh Snow ink.
Stop by Nichole's blog to link up to the whole design team to see their projects created with the Superstition set. You can also link up to there to the other stamp designers that have new sets and products debuting this month.
Thank you so much for stopping by today and I will be back tomorrow to share the rest of my projects from the Papertrey Ink August release!
