new stitching dies and more monthly moments: september

Welcome to day 2 of the Papertrey Ink September release countdown. Today I have projects to share using the new stitching dies designed by Erin and a project that uses my new Monthly Moments: September collection.

All of the new stamp sets and projects that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on Septemeber 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.

If you are trying to come up with a fun little gift to craft for friends and family for the holidays, you are going to love the new Stitched Frame collection and the possibilities of cute ornaments that you can create!

I used the dies to cut out this instant photo style frame out of Limeade Ice felt.

The "Noel" word is added using one of the Stitched Holiday Words dies on the bottom part of my frame and then stitched it up with some embroidery floss. If you are going to add a photo, make sure you tuck it inside the frame (I did use a little adhesive to secure it in place) before you stitch everything up!

I added a little spring of holly that I made with a Holly Jolly die, Pinefeather felt, and some red rhinestones. My hanger for my ornament is made with Pure Poppy baker's twine that I secured to the top of the frame with a Dark Chocolate button.

A cute little tag to the top of the ornament makes it ready for gift giving! The tag is cut from kraft cardstock using a Tremendous Tags die, I stamped the sentiment with the new Keep it Simple: Christmas set using selective inking, and added another sprig of holly like I added to the frame ornament.

For this cute little rustic holiday card, I took the "merry" word from the new Stitched Holiday Words dies and stitched it up with some brown embroidery floss into the center of the Rustic Wreath die cut from Pinefeather cardstock.

I stamped the "Christmas" using selective inking and Classic Kraft ink with the new Keeping it Simple: Christmas set. I also stamped a few extra sprigs from the Rustic Wreath set in Classic Kraft ink in the background.

I added a few glitter dots that I had in my stash for a little sparkle on the wreath. I just adore the homespun and rustic look of this card!

Finally, I have a layout using my new Monthly Moments: September collection and the new Stitched Years dies.

The Monthly Moments: September collection is perfection for getting those back to school layouts put together for your albums! One of the greatest things about the Monthly Moments collection is how each month coordinates so perfectly within each collection. It's so easy to pull elements together for a layout like this since it takes the guess work out of what colors and patterns to pull together.

I chose this back to school journal card as my title and used the "2014" Stitched Years die to personalize the layout for this school year.

Under the typed journaling I added some stamped elements from the Monthly Moments: September set.

The "H" and "T" are punched from a journal card in the Monthly Moments: September journal card collection. I love how great they look accenting the picture of my girls from the beginning of school.

It's another layout done for the books! I love that.
