introducing happy new year, banner journal card, and keep it simple: happy new year

The Monthly Moments: November collection debuts this month and I will be sharing more about everything that is included a little later in the countdown - although I do have a peek of this month's new journal card for you today!

Today I am sharing projects created with my new Happy New Year set, Banner Journal Card die, and the Keep it Simple: Happy New Year set.

Happy New Year is a set that is perfect for New Year's cards, New Year's Eve invitation, and scrapbooking related projects like a New Year resolution mini book. The coordinating Banner Journal Card die will work for pocket scrapbooking and coordinates with other Monthly Moments products. The Happy New Year set retails for $15.

I really had so much fun creating a collection of projects to share with you today to celebrate the new year! I stuck with a color combination of kraft, white, gold, and black for all of my projects.

This card celebrates the upcoming new year! This could be a card just to send a greeting for the holiday or could easily be used for an invitation too. I used the Banner Journal Card die with a bit of the bottom trimmed off for the focal point on the card. I stamped the year on some banner die cut pieces cut from gold shimmer cardstock and the sentiments on the card are stamped in gold ink (so much prettier in person!)

The stars are die cut from gold shimmer cardstock with the new Small Sketched Stars dies and I impress teh card base with the Cover Plate: Stars die. A bit of Bitty Star Basics patterned paper was the perfect touch of black to finish off the card.

Next I have a perfect little invitation ensemble to send out for a New Years Eve celebration.

I used the Banner Journal Card for the main part of the invitation die cut from gold shimmer cardstock. I stamped a "happy new year" from the new Keep it Simple: Happy New Year set on the card above the banners and then stamped the bottom of the card with the By Invitation set.

I really love how the invitation base turned out. I stamped elements in a random pattern from the Happy New Year set in Fine Linen ink on white cardstock and attached the journal card over the top. I have kraft envelopes lined with some white printer paper that I die cut with the A2 Envelope Liner die and stamped the same as the card base. A few die cut stars and maybe some sparkly confetti tucked into the envelope along with the invitation will be sure to put your invited guests in the celebration mood.

And finally I have a set of tags/journal card to share that I put together to either use on scrapbook pages or as a mini book to celebrate the upcoming new year.

The tag bases are made using the new Monthly Moments: Journal Card 6 die die cut from kraft and gold shimmer cardstock.

I did a couple of tags to write out some resolutions and goals, adding lines with the Journal Accessories set. I stamped the clock images from the Happy New Year set onto white cardstock and then punched them out with a 1 3/4" circle punch and die cut stars and sequins for embellishing and accenting the tags. The cards are going to be perfect for titling and/or accenting the project that I create.
