introducing uncorked and more happy new year

Welcome to day 4 of the Papertrey Ink November release countdown. Today is a group post day and everyone is sharing projects with the new Uncorked set. I also have another card to share today created with my new Happy New Year set.

All of the new stamp sets and projects that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on November 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.

Uncorked is just a really classy set and it can be used for so many occasions where wine can be involved - from weddings to anniversaries to holidays to just hanging out with friends. The card I have to share today is perfect for celebrating an anniversary. I created a coordinating wine bottle tag and this ensemble all together is a great gift idea.

I really had fun experimenting with the sentiments and how to combine them onto the card with elements of the Uncorked stamp set and coordinating dies. I die cut the "celebrate" from gold shimmer cardstock, added the kraft strip with "anniversary wishes" stamped onto it in True Black ink, and then stamped the "love is like wine..." sentiment underneath the strip. All of that onto a piece of white cardstock looked completely elegant. I added it to a kraft card base with the gold shimmer piece behind that is actually the Wine Bottle Tag die cut with the top portion trimmed off.

I created the coordinating tag with the Wine Bottle Tag die cut from white cardstock. This time I die cut the "cheers" word from gold shimmer cardstock and added the strip with "for the happy couple" underneath it. The wine glasses above the sentiment and die cut from kraft paper and then I added the "wine" with gold ink.

A few silver rhinestones scattered on the card and tag completed the look.

Here is another card created with my new Happy New Year set. I really love the clock face element in the set and was inspired to give it a vintage look with a few techniques.

After I punched out the clock with a 1 3/4" circle punch, I inked the edges and then embossed the front of the clock with a few layers of Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel. I bent the embossed piece to crack it and inked the cracked areas to add some more aging to it.

After that, I heated the embossed part again to smooth it out and then while it was still warm, dropped a few little watch pieces to embed them into the embossing enamel. I had these little watch parts in my embellishment stash that I picked up years ago somewhere and how fun are they on this project?
