introducing drips & dribbles
December 11, 2014
Welcome to day 2 of the Papertey Ink December release countdown. Today I have cards to share using the new Drips & Dribbles set designed by Lizzie.
All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on December 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.
I pulled out my Warm Happiness set to pair with the new Drips & Dribbles set - this set is so perfect for using with anything coffee, tea, or warm drink related! I used the coffee circles and splatters for the background of the card with Classic Kraft ink. I spritzed the stamp a bit with water before I stamped so the color would flow and spread a little on the cardstock.
After the background was dry, I stamped the mug image from Warm Happiness along with the sentiment that is included in the Drips & Dribbles set.
I don't drink coffee myself, but I know a lot of coffee drinking friends who might definitely shed a tear over a spilled cup of coffee...!
For this next card, I used just the splatters in the Drips & Dribbles set and stamped the in multiple colors so they look like paint splatters. That was perfect to pair with the "I made such a mess of things" sentiment!
For the background, I stamped images from the Circle Scribbles set in Fresh Snow ink onto a kraft card base. It was the perfect messy look and feel for this card.
And finally, I had to do a card with a vintage look and feel. The circles and splatters in the Drips & Dribbles set are perfection to add an aged feel to a card like this.
I used Background Basics: Postmarks stamped in Smokey Shadow that was stamped off once so for a bit of a lighter color tone on the kraft card base. I stamped the circles and splatters in Classic Kraft ink and also added some splatters in Smokey Shadow ink to match the images stamped with the Background Basics: Postmarks set.
I used my ink blending tool on the bottom edge of the card to age things up a bit more and then stamped the "Happy Valentine's Day" sentiment from the new Keep it Simple: Valentine set in True Black ink. A few glittered hearts finish this Vintage Valentine card up perfectly.
