I pulled out some gelatos to use along with the kit and just started to play. I took the heart images from the set, colored them up with the gelatos, spritzed them with water, and stamped them onto the little watercolor paper squares and mini canvases. I just let the color flow and run and used a heat tool to dry the images when they looked how I wanted.
After creating a bunch of heart designs, I added sentiments from the set. I did choose to use a waterproof ink for this so I would be sure that the words wouldn't smear or run.
Isn't that little paint palette on the card too fun? I added little "paint blobs" with enamel dots that are included in the kit.
And how about that little easel? It's just perfect for holding the little mini canvas creations!
Next, I played around with the butterfly image in the set. I inked up the butterfly with several colors before I spritzed them with water and stamped them.
On this card I have a whole cluster of rainbow colored butterflies - so pretty! A few enamel dots were a perfect accent along with a strip of the rainbow striped patterned paper that is included in the kit.
The sentiments themselves are a work of art and work wonderfully stamped right along side the butterflies.
On this card I used a single butterfly on one of the watercolor paper squares. I layered it onto another patterned paper that is included in the kit and the die cut frame image. I love how adding the frame turns everything in to a fancy gallery looking design.
See what I mean about playing and creating with this gorgeous kit? I really had so much fun.
For my last card that I am sharing today I played around with the cute little paint set that you can create with dies in the set and the "you color my world" sentiment. The little paints in the set are die cut from cadstock that I colored with gelatos so you can actually use a wet brush to pick up color and paint just like in one of those paint with water books. And I just love the die that you can use to make a holder for a little paintbrush right on the card! See how your card recipient can be inspired to play too?
For the sentiment, I first inked up the stamp with multiple colors, spritzed it, and stamped it onto a watercolor paper square. Then I inked up the sentiment, excluding the palette letter "C" and stamped that in black ink. Then I took the little palette image that lines up perfectly with the sentiment "C" and stamped that over that part in black ink. How cool is the effect of the colors behind the sentiment?
Package up a card like this with some little watercolor papers and mini canvases and you have a great little gift of inspiration!
Remember that there is only a limited amount of kits available so be sure to log on to order on January 5th so you don't miss out! You don't want to miss this!
