Hi everyone, welcome to the first day of the Papertrey Ink January release countdown! This is going to be a fun month of projects to see from the whole design team. This month is the release of my Monthly Moments: January collection. Today I have a fun set of journal cards that I created to share with you.
All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on January 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.
A little later on in the countdown, I will share more of the details about the Monthly Moments: January collection. On to what I have created to share with you today...
I have a little collection of 4 journal cards that I created with the Monthly Moments: January collection. I love having some journal cards all ready to go like this so that I can easily slip them right into the pocket style scrapbook pages.
I used the Monthly Moments: Journal Card 6 die to create this fun card with the snowman image that is included in the Monthly Moments: January set. I designed the snowman in 2 parts so it is easy to stamp a multiple colored image. The "build a snowman" sentiment is also included in the set and I couldn't resist adding the "do you want to...?" piece using the Simple Alphabet set. The polka dot paper underneath the stamped image in cut from a journal card in the Monthly Moments: January journal card collection.
This month's journal card die has a circle cut out pattern on it. I layered a journal card die cut with Rustic White cardstock over a journal card cut using the Monthly Moments: Journal Card 1 die with kraft cardstock. I stamped some little snowflakes in some of the circle openings with Fresh Snow ink and then added a little frozen checklist to the journal card. When I add the journal card to a layout I can check any or all of the boxes that might apply!
For this card, I had a little fun playing around with a white spray mist. I put a Fancy Flakes die cut onto the kraft cardstock journal card and then sprayed the mist over it. I removed the die cut snowflake and let the journal card dry before I attached the strip of patterned paper from the Monthly Moments: January journal card collection and the Monthly Moments: January die cut along with a few silver sequins.
And finally, I am still putting some journal card shakers together using the Monthly Moments: Journal Card 7 die from last month. I layered a die cut piece of clear cardstock over a die cut journal card from the Monthly Moments: January journal card collection. I stitched up the bottom and sides with some embroidery floss and before I stitched the top closed, I added some circles that were left from die cutting with the new Monthly Moments: Journal Card 8 die and a few star sequins.
You can see more new products from the Papertey Ink January release and projects created with them over at Nichole's blog. You will be able to link up to other design team members sharing projects today and also to the stamp designers who have new products to share this month.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I will be back tomorrow with more to share!
