introducing secret agent & zappy birthday + more monthly moments: january

Welcome to day 4 of the Papertrey Ink January release countdown. Today is a group post day and we are all sharing projects created with the new Secret Agent and Zappy Birthday sets. I also have a card to share today that is created with my new Monthly Moments: January collection.

Playing around with the new Secret Agent set and coordinating dies was just so much fun! I have a nephew that is going to be head over heels for this birthday card that comes with the secret glasses to decode his birthday message.

I used the Edgers #5 die and the Monthly Moments: Journal Card 3 dies to give my card a "secret, confidential file" kind of feel.

The secret message is stamped in Smokey Shadow that I stamped off once so it was a bit lighter and then added the cross-hatching over the top in Pure Poppy and New Leaf ink to hide it.

I made the cool spy glasses and added the Pure Poppy and New Leaf transparency films to each lens so that when you put them on, the secret message is revealed - too cool! I honestly can't wait to see his reaction to this card!

 And how about another perfect set for creating another birthday card for another one of my nephews? Actually all 4 of my nephews are crazy about comics and super heroes - really, let's be honest and say that my husband and his brother and very into that too ;) I think what I am saying is that I have a pretty big group of family members who would love to get a card using this set...!

I made a border with the patterned papers in the new Comic Strip paper pad  and added the die cut words and balloons across the card front. I added the saying below in one the longer speech balloon and a few more stamped below that. A few sequin stars were perfect touch to finish off this card.

And finally, here is a card that I put together using my new Monthly Moments: January collection. I stamped the little 2 step snowman using the body outline and detail in black ink and then added a bit of watercolor with Aqua Mist to shadow the snowman and then snowdrift that I added using the In the Meadow die. I had to add a little sparkle with some glitter too!

I used the Monthly Moments: December speech balloon die to add the "brrr..." above the snowman and stamped a few snowflakes in Aqua Mist Ink. Everything is attached to a Monthly Moments: Journal Card 1 die cut and then added onto a kraft card front with the "baby, it's cold outside" sentiment stamped at the bottom.
