introducing phrase play #12

Hi everyone, welcome to day 2 of the Papertrey Ink January release countdown! Today I am sharing some projects created with the new Phrase Play #12 set and coordinating die.

All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on January 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.

It feels like a party this month with the newest in the Phrase Play series and I have some fun and festive cards to share.

I had some fun with a little watercoloring with some ink refills for this card. I cut the die in kraft cardstock for the word/frame piece and then die cut some white cardstock that I had painted.

I set the die cut pieces together for the from of the card and then sprinkled the stars from the watercolor die cut on each side - so fun! I pieced a couple of the sentiments in the set together with some selective inking to complete the "you're invited to a rock star party" sentiment for the card.

Isn't this just a sweet invitation for a birthday party? This is a design that you could easily change up the colors to match whatever party theme you are having. I used pieces of the Phrase Play #12 die cut instead of leaving it all in one piece. The "party" is cut out from some double stick foam and I glittered up the word with a little bit of chunky and a little bit of fine glitter.

I used the Monthly Moments: Journal Card 2 die to add the glittered "party" to the front of the card and then scattered a bunch of stars cut from kraft cardstock around and about the card front.

And finally, I had a little bit of fun using the Phrase Play #12 die to create a shaker card. I used the double sided foam to die cut the frame and then attached clear cardstock and the party frame die cut from white cardstock over the top.

Inside the shaker I added a cluster of die cut balloons and some star sequins. How fun would it be to receive a card like this for your birthday - and this would work for other types of celebrations too!
