papertrey ink january release wrap up
January 15, 2015
It's release day at Papertrey Ink! All of the new stamp sets and products that the design team have been sharing during the January release countdown will be available to purchase tonight, January 15th, 10PM ET at Papertrey Ink.
Today I have the rest of my projects for this January release to share with you...
This month has been just awesome at adding to my birthday card stash! Here's another birthday card to wish someone a belated birthday using the new Hey, Cupcake and Keep it Simple: Belated Birthday sets.
I stamped the cupcake block in Fresh Snow ink onto kraft cardstock, stamped in the wrapper, candle, and flame, and then used a die cut for the cupcake top in Dark Chocolate patterned paper. My favorite Double Ended Banners die is always perfect to tuck the sentiment onto your card like I did here.
I used the new 2015 Birthday Tags set to stamp a background in Orange Zest, Pure Poppy, and Simply Chartreuse inks for this card that is ready for a birthday celebration.
How great is the new Layered Banner Banter set and coordinating die? It's just perfect for adding card like this with a custom stamped background.
The new Happy Notes set is quite perfect for creating a pile of cards to keep on hand. Then, when you are ready to give them out, just check the box that applies!
I stamped the flower from the Happy Notes set several times in the corner along with some leaves and then added some sprigs coming out from the flowers with the new Stitched Swirls set. After I stamped them, I used the die cut to add the stitching holes, but them chose to leave them un-stitched to show off the stamping underneath.
And finally, I had a little fun with watercolor and the new Cable Gram set. I stamped the Cable Car image and embossed it with clear embossing powder on white cardstock. Then I used Aqua Mist and Spring Moss refills to paint on the color. I did a little bit of paint splattering too - and I love the resulting look!
I did stamp a few fun details on the back of the cable car image and added the sentiment underneath. I scattered a few kraft cardstock hearts across the card to finish it off.
