introducing make it market mini kit: garden gild

Hello everyone and welcome to another day of the Papertrey Ink May release countdown. Today is another group post day and today we all have projects to share using the new Make it Market Mini Kit: Garden Gild.

All of the new stamp sets and projects that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on May 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.

This beautiful kit is one that makes it so easy to create elegant cards either by doing a few simple things or even if you want to get a bit more detailed.

For my first card, I used one of the gold foiled pattern papers (so pretty and so hard to show in photos!) I stamped the "happiness" word in Hibiscus burst twice: first after I spritzed the stamp with water and then again over the water spritz stamped image once it had a bit to dry. The result it a great watercolor shadow effect.

The only other stamping I added was the companion sentiments and a few flowers and leaves from the stamp set that is a part of the mini kit. I tied a bit of the Hibiscus Burst twill ribbon around the card front to finish it off.

For this next card, I got a little more detailed. I die cut the cover plate in kraft cardstock and then added the floral details with the other floral dies in the mini kit. I love the look of the flowers layered over the ones in the cover plate die cut.

I stamped the sentiments and some more floral images from the stamp set and then added a few gold sequins for a final touch. What a beautiful card to give to a special couple on their wedding day!
