papertrey ink may release wrap up
May 15, 2015
It's release day at Papertrey Ink! All of the new stamp sets and products that the design team have been sharing during the May release countdown will be available to purchase tonight, May 15th, 10PM ET at Papertrey Ink.
Today I have the rest of my projects for this May release to share with you...
First up is a card and super fun mask created with the new Superhero set and coordinating mask die. I also used the new Enclosed: Star die to make the "super boy" emblem for the front of the card. All of the Pure Poppy cardstock that I used for the projects is stamped with the halftone dot block in the Superhero set and I love the bit of texture it gives to the circle piece and mask.
I can't wait to give this fun card to one of my nephews for an upcoming birthday - how fun is that going to be?
Here's a card created with the new Enclosed Star set. I stamped the pattern onto the Enchanted Evening star die cut and was going to layer the silver die cut over the top. But, I LOVE how the design stamped up on the star and how it made that little star in the middle and I couldn't cover it up!
So, I set the stars next to each other, overlapping just a bit, on the card front and I really like how it turned out! There's another look at one of the patterned papers included in my new 3 Piece Suit patterned paper collection too.
I really enjoyed playing around and building with the pattern strips in the new Southwestern Style set. It looks like a fabric you might find at the craft store or maybe even a cool book cover the way it turned out!
I kept the card simple to let the pretty patterned paper that I stamped could take the spotlight and added the sentiment onto a Double Ended Banners die cut in white cardstock. I then accented the one end of the strip with some antique bronze brads that I had - that was the perfect touch for this card!
And finally, a card created withe Center Style: Feminine set and coordinating die cut. What a pretty frame and the elements from the set really accent the frame and sentiment that I used on the card. I trimmed one side off the frame so that it could sit flush with the right side of the card front.
The flowers and sentiment are from the Quilted: Summer set. What a perfect card to send to someone who needs a little cheer...

One last thing before I go...
It's a peek of the new Make it Market: Nostalgic Notions kit that will be available to purchase on June 1st! I have a special place in my heart for vintage notions and notions and so I fell in love quickly with the new Make it Market: Nostalgic Notions kit and all of the beautiful vintage details that Betsy included. I felt like I was going back in time and was inspired todo some extra details and handmade touches like stitched buttons and sweet polka dotted bias trim on my projects.
Thank you so much again for joining me during the May release countdown. Happy stamping!
