introducing l'shanah tovah

Welcome to day 1 of the Papertrey Ink July release countdown. Today I am sharing the new set L'shanah Tovah.

All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on July 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.

The L'shanah Tovah set includes sentiments and images perfect for celebrating the Jewish New Year. I have to be honest that I am not familiar with this Jewish holiday. It was great to learn a little more about the holiday doing a little research to create the cards that I have to share with you today.

The main symbols of the holiday are apples and honey to wish for a sweet and fruitful new year. I combined the images here on this card and used a hexagon froth Happy Hexagons set for my "honeycomb" background.

This images are designed so that you can stamp the images in multiple step which make it so easy to create multicolored images. My favorite is that honey wand that you can stamp the dripping honey onto!

For this next card, I used the L'shanah Tovah sentiment along with the apples stamped in some branches that I stamped with the Turning a New Leaf set.

After I stamped the apples and leaves, I smooshed over the top of it with some Classic Kraft and Ripe Avocado inks. The water also caused the stamped images to soften a bit for a great watercolor look.

For this final card, I used the Star of David image from the Festival of Lights set to create a background pattern and then added the Rosh Hashanah sentiment to it.

The sentiments in the set are, of course, perfect for adding to other appropriate images for sending a new year greeting to family and friends.
