Weather is a perfect theme for so many different kinds of cards. You can send some sunshine just because or to cheer someone up and a rainy day theme is perfect for sending get well wishes or a little encouragement to someone who needs it.

This sunshine card is made with the new So Striking set. At first glance the set seems like it has more for a rain themed card, but there is a sun image that is perfect for sending a little sunshine. I stamped a sunshine background in Harvest Gold ink and then highlighted one sun by stamping the sun again in Summer Sunrise ink over the top of the Harvest Gold one.

For the sentiment, I used the new Sunshine die and the "sending" part of the "sending sunshine" sentiment from the So Striking set.

Inside the card, I used the new Tucked In: Thinking of You set. I selectively inked the sentiment so I could stamp is around another die cut I did with the new Sunshine die so it would match the one on the front of the card.

Here's a card for a rainy day, quite literally with the embossed raindrop images from the new Rainy Day Sentiments set. There has never been a more perfect card to do some smooshing on than this one! I used Ocean Tides, Hawaiian Shores, and Enchanted Evening to add color around the embossed raindrops.

The sentiment I used from the Rainy Day Sentiments set is one of my favorites. I actually stamped that first in a waterproof ink before I added everything else to the card.
