snowflake sparkle and warmest wishes
October 11, 2015
Welcome to day 2 of the Papertrey Ink October release countdown. Today I am sharing more with my new Snowflake Sparkle set as well as the new Warmest Wishes set.
All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on October 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.
If there were 2 stamp sets from this release that were made to go together I think it would have to be these 2 sets. I adore the animals and details in the new Warmest Wishes set and my new snowflakes in the Snowflake Sparkle set are just perfect for adding into the little scenes and backgrounds. I also really had a lot of fun playing around with watercolor and blending techniques for the projects that I am sharing today with you.
Isn't this polar bear the cutest? And doesn't putting a polar in a sweater just even better?
I masked the bear on the watercolor paper and then added some watercolor around it as well as a fun snowy background with the Snowflake Sparkle set stamped in Aqua Mist. Masking the bear just made it pop on the card. I watercolored his sweater and added a piece of patterned paper from the new Winter Plaids paper collection to coordinate with it. So fun.
Next up is a kraft cardstock tag stamped up with some Fresh Snow snowflakes - Fresh Snow ink on kraft cardstock is a look that I will always love! It set up the perfect snowy background for the little fox and his forest of trees behind him.
And that new Tag Sale die is just perfect. I love the size that is just perfect for having some fun without having to commit to a whole card. I would love to get a bunch more of these made up for attaching to gifts for the holidays!
I had a little fun with the penguin from the Warmest Wishes set for this card. I stacked them up on top of each other, masked them, and then did some ink blending around them.
After I watercolored them in, I added some festive sparkly stars and a hat for the penguin on the top.
I used my new Snowflake Sparkle set here on the left edge of the card. I stamped the kraft cardstock base with the snowflakes in Fresh Snow ink to create my own custom patterned paper to coordinate with my card. Peeking out from under the edge of the watercolor paper is a bit of the new Pure Poppy + White patterned paper that is new for this release too.
You can see more new products from the Papertey Ink October release and projects created with them over at Nichole's blog. You will be able to link up to other design team members sharing projects today and also to the stamp designers who have new products to share this month.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I will be back soon with more to share!
