introducing winter woods and more monthly moments: mini slide frame

Welcome to day 3 of the Papertrey Ink November release countdown. Today is a group post day and everyone on the designs eat is sharing projects created with the new Winter Woods collection and Fab Flakes set. I also have a project to share created with my new Monthly Moments: Mini Slide Frame set.

The new Winter Woods set is woodsy and rustic which is a style that is completely up my alley. I pulled out my kraft cardstock and Fresh Snow ink to put together this first card. I always love the look of Fresh Snow ink on kraft cardstock and it is the perfect backdrop for the cardinal sitting on the branch. I stamped the snowflakes from the new Fab Flakes in the background in Fresh Snow and Classic Kraft inks

The cardinal is stamped using the rock and roll technique. I stamped the main body in Pure Poppy First and then rolled the bottom part of the stamp into Scarlet Jewel ink. It's the perfect look for this bird!

I used the Winter Woods cover plate die for the background on this next card. I die cut it from kraft cardstock and then stamped the Background Basics: Woodgrain over the top of it. 

I stamped the chickadee and set it right none of the branches and then added snow using the snowflakes included in the Monthly Moments: December die collection.

I really love how both of these cards turned out! I will be definitely creating with the Winter Woods set more in the future.

And finally, I have another scrapbook layout to share that uses my new Monthly Moments: Mini Slide Frame set. This layout is from a camping trip that my family took this past Memorial Day weekend with some friends.

I stamped the title with the Antique Alphabet set and added a slide frame stamped below it in Ripe Avocado ink. Inside the frame I stamped a few sentiments perfect for this camping trip layout. I used quite a few other elements from the Monthly Moments: July set on this layout as well. That's a set that is perfect to reach for when you are documenting trips like this.
