introducing coin purse II
January 14, 2016
Welcome to day 5 of the Papertrey Ink January release countdown. Today is another group post day and we are all sharing projects created with the new Coin Purse II dies.
All of the new products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on January 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.
I put together the drawstring version of the bag and as soon as I saw how the pieces went together, I knew I had to do something fun with it. I couldn't resist turning the little bag into a bunny bag for Easter!
The bag is put together just like in the drawstring bag tutorial that you can find on Papertrey Ink's YouTube page, except I didn't turn it inside out to sew it so that the stitching on my bag would be visible and I added some elements from the Bunny Bag die collection to transform it.
I stitched the nose and added buttons for the eyes on the top portion of the bag and stitched the ears onto the top edge of the bag at the same time as when I stitched the edge of the bag. For the bag drawstring, I wove some Sweet Blush stitched ribbon right through the slots that were cut with the corresponding die. How fun is this going to be to fill with some Easter treats?
You can see more new products from the Papertey Ink January release and projects created with them over at Nichole's blog. You will be able to link up to other design team members sharing projects today and also to the stamp designers who have new products to share this month.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I will be back soon with more to share!
