2016-team
Welcome to the beginning of the Papertrey Ink 9th anniversary celebration and February release countdown! I can hardly believe how quickly 9 years has flown by. I have been with Papertrey Ink from the very beginning and this company is one that has been so good to me over the years. I am thrilled to continue being a part of this great team. I look back at all that I have been able to create and share with all of you and it is amazing. Make sure to stop by over at Nichole's blog and meet all of us from the Papertrey Ink design team.

Today kicks off our 9th anniversary festivities and we are starting things off with picking one of our favorite projects from this past year. I love scrolling through everything, revisiting my projects, and remembering what each release had in store. I think that my very favorite was this card that I did for the holidays:

I created this card with the Botanical Blocks III set that debuted this past October. It is embossed with clear embossing powder onto watercolor paper and then I added color with the Zig Clean Color markers.

The card base is my signature kraft that I spattered some white onto and then finished off the flower with a few red rhinestones. I really love how this card turned out. It's so elegant and pretty, but simple and rustic at the same time.

The main color scheme for the card is: kraft, Raspberry Fizz, Pure Poppy, Dark Chocolate, and Ripe Avocado.

I took that color combination and created a new card to share with you today:

I used the Happiness in Bloom set for this card. The flowers are stamped with a Raspberry Fizz base, Pure Poppy shading, and a Dark Chocolate center. The leaves are stamped in Ripe Avocado with the leaf base stamped off once. I gave everything a bit of a watercolor look be spritzing the inked stamp with water before stamping it onto the kraft cardstock base.

I spattered a little white over the finished stamped images and then added the "hugs" die cut in white and the coordinating "sending" from the Big Hugs set.

You are in for a lot of amazing things in the coming days - hold onto your hats! Stop by Nichole's blog for more and to link up to the rest of the design team to see the amazing projects that they are sharing today.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I will be back with more to share very soon!
