super heroes and stars

Hi everyone and welcome to day 4 of the Papertrey Ink March release countdown! Today is another group day and we are sharing all things super with super heroes and stars.

All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on March 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.

This month for the Dress Up Dolls series the theme is super heroes! I colored up a fun ensemble for the set of magnetic paper dolls that I am creating for my daughter Tacy.

I stamped everything onto an adhesive sheet, added color with colored pencils and blended the colors with gamsol (odorless mineral spirits.) It doesn't show up super well in the photo, but I added some shimmer with a Wink of Stella clear glitter brush. There are a few tiny red rhinestones on the headband and shield too.

I adhered the outfit pieces to a magnetic sheet that I cut out with the coordinating dies. Everything magnetically sticks to the metal CD case and that makes playing and dressing the dolls so easy and fun.

What a fun addition to the series. I wonder what's in store for us next month for the Dress Up Dolls?

Next is the stars in the new Paper Clipping: Congratulations set and coordinating dies. I had fun playing with some ink blending on white cardstock using Pure Poppy, Scarlet Jewel, and Enchanted Evening inks.

I die cut the Paper Clippings: Congratulations die cut from the inked cardstock and ended up attaching it to an Enchanted Evening card base. Originally, I was going to do something more neutral, but the die cut piece fell onto a piece of Enchanted Evening cardstock on my desk. When I saw it, I knew that it was meant to be. I love happy accidents like that.

The sentiment is stamped in Enchanted Eveing ink onto kraft cardstock that is cut with the Double Ended Banners die.
